1-2-3 & you're married!

Being legally married in Australia can be as simple as 1-2-3. Three steps which includes all the necessary timeframes, the people, and the paperwork.

May I marry you? Wedding Celebrant Hervey Bay
Lauretta Wright Celebrant

As your authorised Marriage Celebrant, I like to keep processes clear and believe in the KIS principle: "keep it simple". Keeping it simple, and designing a process that is meaningful for you, and just the wRight length is my MO. Let's get to the kiss! #KIS2kiss

Step #1: being engaged or a citizen of Australia is optional; registering the Notice of Intended Marriage one calendar month prior to your wedding date with your Celebrant is not optional to be legally married in Australia.

Step #2: having a maid of honour or best man and exchanging wedding rings is optional; excluding the Monitum and Vows are not an option if you are to be legally married in Australia.

Step #3: family and friends are optional attendees at your wedding; less than five people at your marriage ceremony is not an option, however you don't need to know the two people who witness your paperwork as I can arrange this for you.

That's it in a nutshell! Saying "I do" is optional, as is exchanging rings. We do need to say a few things however, but as quick as you say 1-2-3, you'd be well on your way to being legally married in Australia and keeping it simple to get to the kiss is my goal for your ceremony. #KIS2kiss
