About the Showcase
Founded in 2021, the Fraser Coast Wedding Industry Showcase is a free community event which aims to exhibit the very best suppliers in the Wedding and Events Industry, all in one convenient location.
This free event gives attendees the opportunity to meet suppliers face-to-face and see if they're the right fit for their dream team. The supplier directory gives engaged couples to explore the fantastic local suppliers that the Fraser Coast has to offer.
The first event, hosted on the 15th of May 2022 in Hervey Bay, was a roaring success which is now officially classed as the biggest wedding event on the Fraser Coast.
Annually featuring over 50 local businesses showcasing their products as well as over 500 patrons seeking their wedding dream team.
The Fraser Coast Wedding Industry Association aims to cultivate a collaborative and cohesive community within the local wedding industry and therefore ensuring that the Fraser Coast is known as a top Wedding Destination by all.

About the Organisers
The Fraser Coast Wedding Industry Association Inc is not-for-profit association made up of a collective group of highly experienced, local event professionals that have a strong focus on community and positive relationships.
Rob & Glenda Towan
As the owners of Hervey Bay Kombi (wedding transport) Glenda & Rob are passionate about their
Kombi’s, Lola, Leila and Lucy. Their multi award winning business sets the standard in a very competitive industry. Having had many years’ experience in the wedding industry, they know how to make your special day “even more special” with their attention to detail. Whether it’s a wedding.
Formal or special occasion you can count on Glenda and Rob going that extra mile.
Christie & Brian Schilling
Brian is a trade qualified painter and carpenter, as well as co owner with Christie of The Prop People, a wedding and event styling business with 25 years success. Christie is a trade qualified chef, qualified events planner, and wedding planner. They were both born in the local area and have a great love of everything Fraser Coast has to offer. Combining their passion for the local area and long term relationships with other local businesses, making wedding dreams come true is second nature to them. Working in a job you love isn’t work at all!
Lauren & Jayden Christie
Lauren and Jayden are local business professionals and lovers of all things weddings and events. Jayden is an accountant at St James Lutheran College with previous experience in tax accounting. Lauren is a bachelor degree qualified marketing & tourism, leisure and events professional with experience in private, community and large-scale events. Lauren currently owns and operates a local business, Serendipity VA & Events, offering professional services including marketing and event planning to other local small businesses.
Luke is a Hervey Bay local who is a lover of all things business, food and events. Having run events locally for the last 8 years as well as owning two businesses, Luke has a great understanding of the events industry, Marketing and has great knowledge of the local area. During the week you will find Luke in his office working on his marketing business and on the weekends you will find him setting up picnics and parties on the Esplanade for his Events business, Occasions by the Bay. Luke loves seeing the smiles and emotions on peoples faces when they rock up for their special occasion whether it be a date night, proposal, baby shower, birthday or wedding.
